I fell in love with Italy on my first visit over 30 years ago and followed a dream to work as a journalist in Rome. I write breaking news and features covering everything from the Vatican, to politics, immigration and the Mafia, but I particularly enjoy writing about food and wine, fashion, arts and culture.
Since I began my career in the 1980s I have worked for newspapers, magazines, TV, radio and online media in the US, Australia and Italy. I worked for News Corporation in New York from 1989 to 1995 and produced current affairs and lifestyle TV in Sydney before moving to Rome in 2007.
Italy is more than a country, it’s an adventure! I love the challenge of finding out what makes it tick, whether it’s meeting the country’s best chefs, designers, winemakers, or discovering its many hidden treasures.
I cover Italy for newspapers and magazines and work as a producer and commentator for TV and radio in Australia, France, Ireland and New Zealand.
